How Does Your Garden Grow?

I'm speaking of your metaphorical garden - you know, those seeds of ideas that you plant, hoping they'll one day grow into full-fledged projects that actually bear fruit.

My own garden is a little untamed at the moment, with lots of seeds at various stages of taking root . . . YouTube channel, online decorating community, Craftsy video class in process . . . While it's more than I can cultivate on my own and often too unruly for me to bear (I'm Type A, after all), it's been a great joy to see some of my recent teaching and online projects start to bloom.

I sincerely hope your springtime is flower-filled too!

Live sweetly!

Cookie Classes Go Global!

Since February, I've traveled to Spain, Portugal, Italy, and various US locales to teach cookie decorating. And not just any cookie decorating! For some inexplicable reason, my most complicated 3-D projects are usually what's requested. (See typical class poster with projects, left.)

While cookie decorating is always fun, the most rewarding part of these trips has been meeting so many kind and generous people, all equally passionate about cookie art, and seeing their unique takes on the craft.

Cookie Connection on NPR.

In February, an NPR reporter stumbled across my site Cookie Connection and interviewed me about the growing interest in cookie decorating. I was reduced to a sound bite but, oh, what a delicious sound bite it was for me!

Classes Expand to South America - and Take to Sea.

In addition to repeat visits to Spain and Italy in 2014, I head to São Paulo, Brazil in August, where I'll be the featured presenter at South America's first-ever cookie decorating convention.

In 2015, I take to sea with Cookie Cruise 2015 and visit Chile, Denmark, and Spain.
