Better Late Than Never!

First, my apologies for missing my Winter 2015/16 newsletter, but lots has been happening here at Recipes for a Sweet Life. I'm hoping that the old adage above holds true as you read through my latest news!

Since November 2016, I've launched a new responsively designed (read: mobile compatible) version of my site Cookie Connection, conducted several cookie decorating master classes, sold the Spanish language rights to my book Ultimate Cookies, and forged a couple of new business partnerships, including one with a video producer (see below), which should allow me to bring you fresher, more professionally produced video content each week. While I still plan to create crazy decorated cookies, I'm expanding my YouTube channel to include a broader array of specialty desserts, such as the tuiles, pictured above, and the chocolate creations, pictured below.

I hope your 2016 has been equally busy and happy so far!

Live sweetly,

Julia Signature

New Video Team and Topics.

In November, I partnered with a new video team by the name of Silverback Video, and I couldn't be happier! We're now shooting with three cameras and cutting live-to-tape, which means substantially reduced editing time and more videos to you, faster and more consistently. Pictured left: the subject of my latest chocolate video!

Fun

Cookie Decorating Classes.

2016 has been another busy year of cookie classes, with events in China (twice) and Argentina so far. My next event (pictured right) is in Jakarta, and others are on the way in the Philippines, Hong Kong, Dubai, Australia, China (again), Taiwan, and the US (at long last)!

New Product Line.

In between videos and classes, I've been working on a top-secret project - until now, that is! Later this summer, I'll be revealing a Julia Usher-branded culinary stencil line, a collaboration with Stencil Ease, the country's largest manufacturer of all-purpose stencils. Pictured left: one of my layered stencil sets currently under testing.
