Video Release: How to Make Dacquoise

Macarons have been the darlings of the cookie world for at least a few years, but, truth be told, they can be pretty darn finicky. If you’ve ever made cracked or lopsided ones, then you know exactly what I mean!

In this video, I introduce you to another classic French “cookie” called dacquoise. The country cousin of the fancy macaron, dacquoise has all the same great flavor and texture (and many of the same ingredients), but absolutely none of the hassle! Hello, dacquoise!

Layered with buttercream or other fillings, dacquoise can be turned into a crun-chewy torte. Or stuffed with ice cream, as I have here, it makes sweet and summery sandwiches! Need an easy dessert for your Fourth of July picnic? Well, look no further; these treats are it!
