Fabulous Fall Contest Results:
The Pinners Have Spoken!

Indeed they have. And thankfully I didn't have to decide first place! This (my third) pinning contest had more pinners than ever, with 1,383 on the board and roughly 405 pins at contest close. But quantity means nothing without quality, as all of you perfectionist decorators clearly showed. I was stunned by the number of amazing entries, from all over the world - everything from 3-D tombstone scenes (Seattle, WA) to delicately painted leaves (Vizcaya, Spain), and all manner of pumpkins, witches, and other ghouls in between. Please, go see the inspiration yourself, if you haven't already.

In keeping with my Pinterest contest tradition, I've recognized the winning decorator (that person whose entry had the most repins) below, as well as some others whose work caught my attention because of its artistry or innovation.

Last but not least, a big shout-out to author Gina Hyams for contributing her recently released Christmas Cookie Contest in a Box to the grand prize pot. Also, thank you to the sponsors of my new cookie decorating video series, and Designer Stencils, whose lovely cutters and stencils round out this contest's prize package!

'Til next contest, live sweetly!

Grand Prize

Fit to be Framed

Each of these leaves deserves its own frame, don't you think? It's not surprising that they topped the board with 91 repins!

Congrats to Vanina del Castillo of Viva la Tarta for her works of art! (You might remember her equally lovely honorable mention - a blue flower and butterly collection - from a few contests ago. If not,  you've got to check it out!)

Honorable Mentions

Other Autumn Attractions . . .

1. Apple of My Eye by Tricia Zunino of The Cookie Loft Girls, top left. Tricia's autumn landscape caught my eye at the recent Cookie Con, and again on my board!

2. Cookie Cornucopia by Laurie Swift Anglen of Cookie Bliss, middle left. This amazingly detailed creation captured an award at Cookie Con, and also my heart!

3. Graveyard Ghouls by Michael Tamplin of Semi Sweet, bottom. I'm a sucker for 3-D!

4. What Did I Tell You?! by Marielle de Vroom of De Koekenbakkers, top right. Yeah, I love 3-D, especially in a tree! This cookie is an outtake from Marielle's recent book.
